Bob had been an agent about 18 months and he was free falling. When he was recruited his sales manager assured him he’d be making $100,000 a year by the end of his first year. After all, he was already a successful sales person. It was just a matter of moving from selling a tangible product to selling an intangible product, right?

Bob’s sales manager failed to mention a few things. Like how many new agents earn $100,000 by the end of their first year, and the number of new agents still in business after two years. Bob’s recruiter never mentioned that the insurance company doesn’t expect more than 3% of the new agents to last more than two years. He also didn’t mention that Bob’s experience of earning around $20,000 his first year and then earning even less in year two really isn’t uncommon.

The insurance company recruiter didn’t mention that the insurance company wins whether Bob makes it or not. They know Bob will sell his family and friends and few others. They also know that once Bob is out of the business they’ll continue to receive their premiums and won’t have to pay Bob his commission.

Unfortunately, once you hit the free fall stage like Bob you run out of time before you can save yourself because you simply don’t have the money to continue. However, there are a few things you must do to avoid sharing Bob’s experience:

• Learn how to promote yourself so you consistently attract highly qualified prospects to you
• Position yourself as a trusted adviser rather than a dreaded salesperson
• Uniquely package your services increasing your clients desire to work with you

You don’t even have to know how to do these things better than anyone else.

Friends and family are always asking me “How to make money using Google AdWords”. It’s funny because about 8 months ago they all thought I was crazy when I told them about Affiliate Marketing and making money online. Look who is laughing now.

Due to my success I recently decided to give back to my family and friends by sharing the methods I use to generate a decent amount of money with marketing products using Google AdWords. Over the course of two weeks I formulated a plan of action that is easy to understand and implement. I wanted to keep it simple with very few steps without sacrificing important information.

I tested this exact method with several family members and helped them when needed to see what kind of results they would achieve. The results were remarkable. Each began to make sales within days of going live with their AdWords campaigns.

Only if I had this information when I started…it would have saved me a lot of money and time.

If you are interested in making money online or have tried but failed then I encourage you to use the 5 steps I am about to show you. If you ever had the question “How to make money using Google AdWords” you are in luck because here is a simple proven process laid out for you to use.

Before we begin it is critical that you understand one key point. The key to any successful pay-per-click campaign is research. I cannot stress this enough folks. How can you sell your product if you do not know who your market is? You must research to find out who your market is, what problems are they having and how your product can solve their problems. If you can provide a product or service that targets their problems you will make thousands!!

So let’s get started.

Step One - Research a new Niche Market

1. Check magazines (magazines are a great place to research what people want)
2. Check if Niche Market has affiliate programs
3. Check Alexa ranking for each affiliate program (this will tell you traffic for the affiliate program)
4. Check several related affiliate programs to compare content and offering
5. Answer Questions:
a. Does the market have demand?
b. Who is market audience?
c. What does market want or need?
d. What problems do they have?
e. How can this product/service solve these problems
f. Can you cross sale products?

Step Two - Analyze Data

1. Is there a demand?
2. Are there affiliate programs to supply the demand?
3. What products are advertisers promoting within this industry?
4. What keywords are they using?
5. Product Quality
a. Research what people are saying through forums, review websites, news groups, etc.
6. Do the affiliate sites have an Alexa Ranking below 100,000?

Step Three - Research keywords

1. Make a list of benefits
2. Get keywords from magazine ads
3. Forums & User Groups
a. What are hot topics?
b. What problems are people having or needing answers to?
c. What advice is hot?
d. Does topic have a lot of replays or views in the forums?
4. Check competitors websites
a. Check their website for keyword patterns (if keyword is used three or more times then they may be promoting that keyword and making money from it)
5. Check search volume per keyword
6. Check Google/Yahoo Ranking
7. Are there many Adword campaigns?
8. CPC (Cost Per Click) vs. Commission

Step Four - Create Landing Page (website tailored for your product/service)

1. Develop landing page focused on providing supply for the demand based on research
2. Use keywords found from research in content

Step Five - Create PPC Campaign

1. Develop campaign around niche market
2. Create ad groups with 20 or less keywords
3. Use keywords in title and body of ad
4. Split test ad groups between two different products and websites
5. Test, test and test

If you apply all this steps, you can make money with anything online. Like I said earlier, the key is research. If you spend time and learn about your market you will make a lot of money. If you get lazy and skip this critical step you are sure to waste a lot of money or make very little. This is something that Kyle and Carson with Wealthy Affiliates taught me and now I pass it to you.

PPC advertising (Pay Per Click advertising) offers the online marketer a number of ways to rake in profits from their business. The search engines are such valuable tools for online entrepreneurs and that makes it worth your while to use it to profit in a big way.

Here are 3 ways you can create profits from PPC advertising:

1. Promote Pay-Per-Sale Affiliate Offers

You can promote affiliate products directly on Pay Per Click networks like Adwords, MSN and Yahoo’s Search Marketing. This is called direct linking in the industry. The system is simple but it still works pretty well for generating sales. All you need to do is type up an ad, plug in a list of good converting keywords (test for these!), and direct your ad to your affiliate link to earn a commission.

2. Promote Pay-Per-Action Affiliate Offers

Another kind of affiliate product you can promote via Pay Per Click advertising is Pay-Per-Action offers. These offers don’t require your visitor to buy the product. If he signs up for a free subscription or a free trial, you earn a commission. This can be massively profitable since the visitor doesn’t have to buy anything for you to earn.

3. Build Your Opt-In List

A great way to leverage Pay Per Click networks is to build your opt-in list. I’m sure by now you’ll have heard that email marketing is one of the main drivers to creating an online profit for marketers. So go ahead and use PPC advertising to build your opt-in list!

A good way to make steady money online is through pay-per-click advertising. Every click on a link or banner earns you income based on a fixed amount for each click. There are steps you should follow in order to make money online through pay-per-click. These are:

* Offer ad space to advertisers
* Display the highest bidders on your Web site
* Be sure your bidding steadily improves over time
* Customize your ad layouts
* Block unwanted ads from appearing on your site
* Create detailed reports that monitor ad performance on your site

Offer Space to Advertisers

Making money online through pay-per-click requires you to build a Web site that individuals and businesses can advertise on. Basically, the ad space gets awarded to the bidders who offer you the most money per click to post a link on your site. Most advertisers will pay monthly once you have generated a minimum number of people clicking on their advertisement link.

Display the Highest Bidders

Always be sure you are displaying the highest bidders on your site at any given time. This will allow them maximum exposure. It also guarantees that you will earn the most revenue possible for allowing these advertisers to post links on your site.

Be Sure Your Bidding Improves

As advertisers gain exposure from posting their links on your site, you will see them return. You also will see a rise in the number of advertisers bidding against each other to get space on your web site as the site becomes more popular.

Visitors to your site will help improve bidding. The more people are able to find what they are looking for through the links posted on your site, the more likely they are to return in the future. Regular users of your site will tell others that your site is the place to find links.

Customize Your Ad Layouts

The best way for you to maintain a fresh and inviting look and feel for your Website, and attract more advertisers and visitors, is to customize the layout. There are simple point-and-click tools that you can use to optimize the appearance of your Web site and ensure the ads are all positioned in a manner that is inviting. As you learn what works and what doesn’t, try different techniques and research what is working for other entrepreneurs who are using pay-per-click on their own sites.

Block Unwanted Ads

Keep a close watch on your site for the appearance of unwanted ads. A large part of making money online is customer service. Advertisers will not want to place their ads on your site if there are other intrusive ads that will annoy and drive away their potential customers. By the same token, visitors will leave and not return if they have to deal with these annoying ads. You can be sure that they will pass the word that your site allows them to be bombarded by these types of cheap, in-your-face sales tactics.

Create Detailed Reports

Another important part of making money online is to generate detailed reports so that you can keep track of ad performance on your site. Track what is and is not working well or generating revenue for you. This report should include information detailing:

* Number of page impressions
* Number of clicks for each link
* The click-through rate
* Amount you have earned for each ad
* Total amount you have earned

If you are looking to make money online, you should consider pay-per-click advertising. The amount of work involved on your part is minimal when compared to the potential amount of revenue your web site can generate for you

Google’s ad placement program (or PPC program) is called Adwords. I’m sure a lot of you know that. Heck, you probably also know that back in the summer of ‘06, Google raised PPC prices for irrelevant ads and landing pages that didn’t benefit the reader. This scared a lot Adwords users and sent them home crying.

But the strongest survived. People learned the new things that Google wanted from them and how to stay relevant. Now their ads are doing even better than before and they pay less for those ads than they did in the first place. So, now you may be thinking to yourself “what are these things to help me save money on adwords?” To tell you the truth, there are a lot of different things to help you stay relevant and keep your costs to a minimum, but here a short list (5 items) and brief description of each on how you can lower your PPC costs.

1. Separate Your Keywords Effectively. When coming up with keywords for any given campaign, you’ll definitely want to separate your key words and phrases into groups that will benefit you the most and be relevant to whatever ad group you put them into. For example, if your key phrase was ” dog training,” you would put that as its own ad group. Then you could make another ad group called “dog training extras,” and put stuff like “dog training secrets,” “dog training tips,” or anything with extra words attached to it. Just like the song, ‘Gotta Keep ‘Em Separated.’ The ad group name doesn’t matter for anyone else but you, so name it something that will help keep you organized.

2. Put your keyword(s) into the actual ad. Whatever keyword your ad group is based upon, place that exact keyword into your ads. And if you have multiple keywords per ad group, make a variation of your first ad, and use one of the other keywords in that ad. Not only does this help with relevancy, but it also makes that term stand out.

3. Have the Keyword (or part of) in the URL that the ad Directs to. Where ever the ad directs to, should have at least the major part of the keyword in the URL. You should try to put it into the title, but if not then oh well. Again, Google is looking for relevancy and every bit helps. By putting the keyword in the url, it only makes it look better for you.

4. Write Your Ads for Buyers. Unless your main objective is to just get readers, write your adwords ads for buyers. Bidding on keywords that have to do with the word “buy” or “download” will help you narrow your results and the audience you target. Also when you write your ads, using words like “scam” or “review” have often been used to get people to believe that they have an honest opinion. Your biggest goal as a writer: to attract buyers.

5. Regularly Monitor and manage your Adwords campaigns. Regularly watch your campaigns, as in daily or every other day, and get rid of bad performing keywords and ad groups. By doing this, not only will you get rid of those wasted clicks, but it will show Google that you mean business, and you are serious about advertising with them. So monitoring your campaigns really is the best thing you can do overall. Just keep on top of those ads, and you should see better results!

Well, hopefully these basic cost cutting things will help you save some money on your Adwords (and other PPC) ads and campaigns.

A) When you choose keywords be sure that they are targeted to your niche market, or product. Sometimes you might just be tempted to go into the search engine database and choose a few top keywords. This is not a good idea, as these keywords will not usually attract your niche market. Instead think about directing your campaigns so that they will attract potential customers for your products and services.

B) Always select your keywords carefully. Remember to target your niche market but also make the keyword general enough to attract traffic. It is always good to bear in mind that you will be paying for clicks even if they do not make any sales. This is what is called pay per click. If you have an ad that is attracting visitors with no sales, you are simply wasting your money.

C) Be aware of the amount you can spend and the worth of your keyword. Of course search engines are savvy and will know how much a high paying click is worth to them. They place the highest bids in the most favorable positions, so you get what you pay for. More money equals more exposure. Theoretically a better position will give both you and the search engines more profits.

However this is often not so, your sales must cover your costs, in order to justify the expense of having a top position. You need to make a fine balance and this can be challenging.

D) It is important to monitor your campaign. Advertisements need to be tracked in detail, after you begin your campaign, to be certain how many sales an ad is producing. You need to be vigilant and adjust your ad campaigns to correct problems, before huge amounts of money are drained from your budget.

Marketing experts know that details in your campaign are important and will check them carefully. You can save yourself both money and time when you find and fix problems early. Your rising sales will be well worth the extra time and effort.

There is no doubt about it Google AdWords is challenging. Bidding and keywords are sometimes hard to learn. However once you know all about the details of your campaign you will be an expert marketer.

So keep these important lessons in mind. Understand their significance so that you can take action. Once you do this you will have the vital keys to Internet marketing success and make the profits you deserve.

If you are a regular advertiser who uses Google AdWords, you probably already are familiar with Google’s Quality Score. Each and every keyword within your AdWords account is assigned a quality score by Google. This score is calculated by Google to represent how relevant your keyword is to your advertisement and destination.

The impact of a keyword’s quality score in your AdWords account is far-reaching and important. Google uses the quality score to help determine the minimum amount you must pay in order for your ad to be displayed as well as the position on the page that your ad will be displayed in. Those two factors are very important to every pay per click advertiser, and thus, understanding the many aspects of the quality score is required.

Google has implemented this scoring system in order to regulate the relevance of an ad to a user’s search query. The idea is that searchers will be more satisfied if the advertisements they see along side their search results or page content relate closely to the topic they are interested in. This makes good sense, although it is not a perfect system, as any auto-compute ranking system is lacking “intuitive” understanding in great detail.

The publicly-known elements of the quality score system are:

1. How closely a keyword is related to the ads in its ad group. This element should cause advertisers to implement their ads and keywords in closely related units, rather than tossing all keywords together in one group. Doing the later will likely lead to high minimum click prices and lower ad spots.

2. The historical performance of the keyword on Google.com. This factor means that if you don’t have your act together today, you will likely end up paying a higher premium for your ads tomorrow and into the future. Google has decided to reward advertisers whose ads have a higher CTR (clickthrough rate), so attention-grabbing ad copy and relevancy is a must.

3. The historical performance of your entire AdWords account. Yes, you read that correctly. Google factors in the CTR from your entire account history when determining your minimum bids and ad positions. This, more than any other factor, dictates that you pay special attention to your account’s quality. Get good or pay more, it’s pretty simple.

4. How closely your landing page relates to your effort. When a potential customer clicks on one of your ads, it makes sense that the page they are sent to should closely relate to what they are searching for. This benefits everyone involved as the user can more quickly find what they want, Google looks good for helping them find it, and you are rewarded by having a much improved chance winning that customer’s business. This element of the quality score is more subjective, but makes sense from the big picture perspective. Google rewards your good service to their customers.

In the end, paying strict attention to, and optimizing for, Google’s quality score for each keyword in your account will result in lower minimum bids and higher ad positions. Both of these factors affect your return on investment for your advertising dollars and are therefore worth understanding intimately.

The red-hot trend in Internet marketing, Google AdWords has made a big impression on pay per click advertising. The lure of placing an ad and sitting back while the search engine works for you is irresistible to a large number of advertisers.

Pay per click seems like the perfect union of advertiser and search engine. It is simple to do. The advertiser creates and ad based on keywords, and will pay the search engine to do all the word. Leads will be generated, by the search engine, with these keywords, for the advertiser. The ads are seen in the search results that are relevant to the keyword that is typed in.

Of course it is not as easy as it might look at first glance. The reason for this is the challenge of doing keyword research. It is not enough to just track the ad through the search engines. Although the keywords are popular they will bring up far too many pages per search result. The average searcher will be unlikely to look at more than the first 5 pages of search results. This means that in order to make money you will need to be sure your ad is positioned within the first 5 pages.

The only trouble with this is the fact that you will need to bid high to get a good position. Old fashioned ways of advertising were governed by paying for the duration of the ad as opposed to paying for exposure. This method of advertising often cost quite a bit.

Next came pay per click advertising. It was a simple idea; advertisers were charged a small amount of money every time somebody clicked on their ad. Advertisers would earn more if they had a larger amount of clicks. The next step was to get a good position for your ad. In order to achieve this the advertiser would need to make the highest bid.

You need to exercise caution when using pay per click advertising. The reason for this is the fact that costs can rise quite fast and take you by surprise. Ads in top positions will generate a great deal of traffic but also a lot of wasted leads. This can drain your budget.

Pay per click advertising is full of pitfalls, especially for the new marketer. It is not the smooth ride that the ads proclaim. The good news is that there are many other resources to help you and other methods of marketing for those who want to look.

So consider your options and do not rely on one method of marketing. Remember the more methods you use the better chances you have of making a profitable business.

All that you have heard is true. With pay per click marketing, you can make a lot of money with little effort, in a relatively short time. It can be a great asset to any advertising campaign. However there is a little secret that nobody lets you know. Behind the scenes of every successful pay per click marketing campaign is a sharp mind and a lot of hard work.

Choice of search engine is the key to the success of your campaign. Of course when you think of pay per click the big engines like Google and Yahoo spring to mind. This is because they are bigger and, some would say, better than the other engines. At the same time it should be noted that there are other search engines available. Pay Per Click Universe lists the top 10 engines.

1. Google

2. Yahoo!

3. ABC Search

4. Search Feed

5. 7 Search

6. MIVA

7. Enhance Interactive

8. Findology

9. Microsoft adCenter

10. Ask.com

Smart marketers will be able to utilize all of these programs and will see which ones work best for their business.

To make your pay per click campaign a success, you will need to choose the right keywords. When choosing a keyword you need to strike a happy medium between general keywords that will attract traffic and highly targeted ones that will give little traffic but make sales. Often you will find that the search engine itself will have a number of popular keywords in the database. You can begin with these but should not rely on them 100%. A lot of these keywords will attract a great deal of traffic but little or no sales.

Bidding will be your next choice. The position of your ad will be determined by how much you want to pay per click. Obviously the highest bidder will get the best position and exposure. Positioning is critical to success, as searchers will rarely look beyond the first 5 pages of the search results. If your ad is not among these pages you might as well consider it forgotten.

In the last you need to understand that you will need to pay close attention and micro-manage your campaign. Attention to detail is a must and you need to be acutely aware of every part of your campaign. Tracking sales conversions is a must. Adjust test and be sure that you nip problems in the bud, before they get out of control.

By working hard at the management of your campaign and doing all your research you will be able to make great profits with your pay per click advertising. It will take some experimentation and you will make some mistakes. Do not expect instant cash, but if you are patient you will see those profits.

So make use of these points and make them part of your action plan. A little work initially will pay big dividends. Using more than one pay per click engine will expand your business and increase your sales.

It seems wherever you turn you will see ads. They proudly claim that people can make huge profits from using Adwords to sell their products and what is more they only have to work 2-3 hours a day! The ads proclaim that this is easy to do and what is more anyone, including you can do it.

The reality of the situation is that this is simply not true and a gross exaggeration of the facts. This is especially so for new business owners. There are myriads of things to take care of and it certainly cannot be crammed into 2-3 hours per day. If you face the truth it is a fact that an Adword campaign will actually be harder to manage than other promotions.

Take a moment to consider this. First you will be doing your keyword research by going to Google’s Databases and finding the popular keywords. You will also compile a list of the keywords that are related to your product and special market. You can do this by using the keywords that you would search for when try to find your product. You can then compare these keywords to Google’s keywords.

After you have assembled all the keywords, you then have to decide how much to bid on each one of them. Of course you will not be emailing Google with your bid, you will be considering paying for good positions. The higher the bid the better position you ad will be in. Google actually places ads according to the highest bidder. These favorable positions will draw the most traffic. This allows Google and the advertiser to earn more.

Adwords is a type of pay per click. Whenever somebody clicks through on your ad you will pay a small fee. You will be paying even if you do not make any sales. Google will make more money when the click through rate is high. The better the bid the higher the ad’s position.

When you complete the bidding process and your ad starts running you will need to manage your campaign very carefully. Be aware of the smallest details, including any shifts in popularity for your keywords. If you find any of your popular keywords have suddenly lost their popularity, then you need to replace it quickly. This is because a keyword that is no longer popular will not be drawing any profits.

Let’s face it you will not make 100’s a day just spending little or no time on your Google campaign. However on the other hand you will become a master at micro-management and multi tasking. When you perfect these skills you stand a good chance of joining the elite few who have made their businesses boom with this type of promotion.

With Google AdWords’ tools and tutorials you will become a master of detailed management very quickly. This will enable you to spend less time managing your campaigns and more time finding ways to profit with your business.
